Vice Chairman, Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board.
Appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to the Florida Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board in 2005, due to my strong credentials and a willingness to serve.  I was reappointed by Governor Charlie Crist in 2009.  My duties include approving and denying applications for licensure for building code inspectors, plans examiners, and building officials. I also impose discipline on licensees violating Florida Statutes §468 laws and Florida Administrative Code rules.  I vote to approve or deny stipulated agreements between the state and licensees.  During my present appointment with the Florida Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board, I have participated in Florida Administrative Code rule development and drafted proposed Florida Administrative Code rule language, subject to review by the Florida Joint Administrative Procedures Committee.

The Board insures protection of the public by conferring with and providing instruction to DBPR lawyers and legal staff.  I monitor the prosecution of cases.  I inform DBPR lawyers when cases are not processed timely.  I inform DBPR lawyers when cases lack overall quality both in content and execution.  I inform DBPR lawyers about Florida Statutes §468 laws and Florida Administrative Code rules.  I also approve and/or make changes to agendas and run board meetings in the absence of the Chairman, responding to licensee and consumer inquiries.
